'A very warm welcome to Mount Carmel Catholic School's website. At the heart of Mount Carmel is our very strong Catholic Ethos. We aim for every child to leave here as an ambassador of Christ. Working parallel to this is our drive for high standards. Through creating a supportive and nurturing school, children really have a passion for learning. We hope you feel this from looking around our website.'

A Curriculum Guide for Parents

At Mount Carmel the core to the school is the Curriculum. As 10% of our timetable is dedicated to RE. We know that our priority to ensuring that every child leaves as an Ambassador of Christ is core to all our teachings. As our Mission Statement is giving every child the opportunity to 'live life to the full' John 10:10, we have to ensure that every child has the opportunity to be a success as God wanted them.

We created a two week timetable to ensure every aspect of the curriculum could be taught in depth.

We created our own curriculum called The Power of Learning. We believe that no one could write a curriculum that moulded the needs of our children at Mount Carmel. We believe that learning has to make sense to children. When it does make sense all the pieces of a jigsaw slot together to give each child an understanding as to why they are learning certain subjects.

On every Year Group page has a clear layout of how we teach all the National Curriculum Skills across every year group.

Have a wonderful and peaceful half term. We open on Monday 25th February. #Encourage, Challenge and Support.#
