'A very warm welcome to Mount Carmel Catholic School's website. At the heart of Mount Carmel is our very strong Catholic Ethos. We aim for every child to leave here as an ambassador of Christ. Working parallel to this is our drive for high standards. Through creating a supportive and nurturing school, children really have a passion for learning. We hope you feel this from looking around our website.'

NURSERY

Welcome to the nursery home learning page.

Please click on the documents below to find out what your challenge is this week.

Happy learning.

Please remember to check the Nursery year page weekly, for further information. You can find this under 'children'.
25th May 2017- Tell us about something exciting that you do over the half term. Maybe you could draw a picture. Can you write a label for the picture that you draw? remember to listen out for the initial sound in a word. Have a great half term.

19th May 2017-This weekend I would like you to explore a new reading app 'Bug Club' that we now have in school. I am aware that you may have previously been emailed the attached letter but please note that the initial password for your child has changed. It is 'change123' ;we recommend that you personalise this when you log in. Please read the attached letter for further information. I have allocated all of the children to the lilac level which is a series of on-line only picture books. There is no text. I would like the children to talk about what is seen and happening in the pictures to help develop their comprehension.  What do they think might happen next? Why do they think that? Can your child retell the story? Do they join in with repeated refrains. Have fun exploring 'Bug Club' with your child.

6th April 2017

Dear Nursery Children,

I hope that you all have a fabulous holiday. Please tell me something exciting that you do over the holidays in you Home-Wow book. Well done for a fabulous second term in Nursery. I look forward to seeing you in a couple of weeks.

Happy Easter

From Miss Whittaker

24th March 2017- I loved seeing and reading about the green things that you found on your colour hunt. This Sunday have a great day spoiling your Mummy. You could ask your mummy what her favourite colour is and then maybe find things that are that colour. Or, in your Wow-Book,  you could share some news.

Friday 10th March 2017-This week I want you to share some news with me. It could be something you have done over the weekend, about a club that you go to, a place that you have visited, friends/relatives that you have met up with...it's up to you. Have a great weekend.

3rd March 2017- This weekend I would like you to continue watching the progress of the Chicks on the school website. This can be found under 'Children', 'Curriculum', 'Science', 'Eggs'. You could tell me about what you see in your

Home-Wow Book. Have a good weekend.

Wednesday 21st December 2016- Share your Christmas by adding photos/pictures and mark making to your Home Wow book. Can you remember who has a birthday on Christmas day? Can you remember the Christmas story? I hope that Father Christmas brings you all that you wish for.
2nd December 2016 - Today your child received a 'Secret Santa' letter. Please complete this very important job!
School re opens on Monday 5th June. Don't forget to book your tickets to Italian Night on Friday 9th June!
