Hello Nursery,

On Wednesday we will have a Teddy Bears picnic, over at the Gym Trail. This weekend I want you to decide which Teddy Bear you will invite and I want you to do something different. One final Nursery challenge!!! Can you make something to transport your Teddy bear and snack from the classroom to the Gym trail? It could be as simple as a box, decorated, with a piece of string to pull it along. Let's see what ideas you can come up with! Maybe you could add wings and turn the box into an aeroplane, or could you create a boat, rocket or car. It's up to you.

We look forward to seeing your creations, on Wednesday.

Dear Nursery children,

This weekend I want you to talk to your grown-up about people who you can trust. Maybe you could share the Pantosaurus song with your grown-up?

What number would you call in an emergency and who could come to help you?

Have a good weekend

Dear Nursery Children,

This week we have been sharing the story 'Where's My Teddy?' I wonder if you can talk to your grown-up about what happens in the story. I also wonder, how many teddy bears do you have at home? Maybe you could count them to find out!

Have a great weekend

Dear Nursery children,

We have been sharing the story 'We're Going on a Bear Hunt' this week. Maybe you could share the story with your grown-ups at home. What do you remember from the story? Who goes on the adventure? What do they see?

Hello Nursery,

This week we shared the book 'Beans on Toast'. I wonder if during your half term you could get yourself a can of beans and place it in different places around your home or take it with you on your adventures outside.

Maybe you could have 'beans on bed', beans on slide', 'beans on sofa', 'beans on bike'... maybe you could add some photos to your Early Essence so I can see what you do with the beans.  I'm just going to have 'beans on hash browns' (sprinkled with cheese) for my lunch, yummy!

Take your beans on tour!

I wish you a fabulous half term, can you believe that you have nearly finished nursery, time is flying.

Dear Nursery children,

This weekend take some time to watch the Liturgy with your grown-ups. Talk about what is seen and happening. What can you remember about the story which we told? When is Pentecost? What is Pentecost? I wonder what colour Father Jim will be wearing on Sunday?

Have a great weekend

Hello Nursery,

This weekend see if you can think of words that rhyme. In the story 'What the Ladybird Heard' there is a 'cat', 'dog' and 'hen'. How many words can you think of that rhyme with these animal names?

Read a rhyming story at home and listen out for the rhyming words.

Have a fun weekend

Hello Nursery,

This week we have been sharing the story 'What the Ladybird Heard' and we have been looking at maps. This weekend I want you to think about a journey that you make. Think about the different things that you may see along the way and the directions that you take. Do you turn left or right? Do you go straight on? Over a bridge? Through a tunnel?

Maybe you could draw a map that you could share with us? Bring it in to school on Monday and we can talk about it.

Dear Nursery children,

This weekend we have three days off! We are not coming back to Nursery until Tuesday. What fun things will you do? Can you share some of your news on Early Essence? We can talk about this when we come back to school.

Hello Nursery,

This week we have been thinking about the numerals 0-9. This week your challenge is to look for numerals when you are out and about. What numbers will you see? Where will you see them? Maybe you could take some photos of the numerals that you find and upload them to Early Essence. When I am out and about I see numerals on cars, homes and in shops... I wonder where else I might spot numbers?

Happy number hunting

Hello Nursery,

This week we have been busy watching the ducklings! They have been great fun and we are very lucky to have spent this precious time with them, and make some memories. We saw them hatch, grow, swim, drink, eat and poo! Watch the videos with your grown-ups and talk about what you liked. https://www.mountcarmel.ealing.sch.uk/our-science-programme/

This weekend it would be great if you could make your Easter Bonnet ready for the parade on Tuesday.

Hello Nursery,

This week we have been making something for our Mummy. Can you remember why? How are you going to make mummy feel extra special on Mother's day, this Sunday? Think about how we are in Lent and during this time we are growing in loving, caring, goodness and kindness. What could you do for mummy?
