Science is a core area of the National Curriculum. We value Science at Mount Carmel as it creates children who think outside of the box. Any subject that embeds awe and wonder at Mount Carmel, is a subject of value. When children experience awe and wonder it makes them question why things work more. This leads them to become independent and challenging thinkers in life.
Our Assessment scheme, Classroom Monitor, gives very clear national expectations. It also gives us clear expectations of how to extend our scientific thinkers. This is embeded in our implementation of science over the whole school.
