This week in Science we are looking at the different food groups and why they are important for the body. We will keep a food diary to analyse if we are keeping a healthy diet.
For your DT link, draw or paint an eatwell plate with a meal of your design, include labels. Or, draw or paint a whole food pyramid! Use any of these: paint, colouring pencils, felt pens, magazine images, coloured paper to make it eye catching.
As you learn more about healthy eating and the food pyramid, make a plan to draw and label a healthy meal of your choice. Use paints, colour pencils, felt pens, magazine collage and coloured paper to complete your healthy meal! Make sure that you have labelled it clearly too! Use the proportions advised in eating well to design your plate into the correct sizes.
If you do the food pyramid, make sure that you clearly draw the different foods that can be found on each level of the pyramid (you can choose which foods, that that food group that you want to display on your personalised design).
