'A very warm welcome to Mount Carmel Catholic School's website. At the heart of Mount Carmel is our very strong Catholic Ethos. We aim for every child to leave here as an ambassador of Christ. Working parallel to this is our drive for high standards. Through creating a supportive and nurturing school, children really have a passion for learning. We hope you feel this from looking around our website.'

Week Commencing 20.04.20

We hope that you have enjoyed the Easter Break!

Each week, parents are welcome to upload two pieces of work, via Class Dojo, that their child has selected. These can be pieces that the child is very proud of, or could be a task that the child has found difficult. Their class teacher will then respond with feedback on those two pieces of work. It maybe worth uploading on Thursday, Friday or the weekend for teachers to then respond on Friday or the following week with feedback.  Any additional communications are expected to be communicated through the school email system.

Maths and English will be uploaded each week with five tasks, one for each day of the week. The afternoon subjects can be spread out over two weeks to allow space for children to complete tasks without rushing. Some tasks could be completed in 30 minutes and others could take longer, depending on the focus, project or topic.

Answers for questions, like some tasks in Maths, English and Science, will be uploaded the following week so that room for looking ahead at the answers is reduced.

Congratulations to our staff, and the hard work from Y6 2019, as due to achievement in Maths, we are currently in the top 2% of the Country. #Encourage, Challenge and Support.#
