Reading Folders 

Each week your child will receive one decodable reading book that matches graphemes taught in class that week. Please encourage your child to use their phonics knowlege to decode and blend the text. The other book they bring home is a sharing book. This is a book your child has choosen from our library and therefore could be at a higher level. Please share read and read to them to encourage a love for reading.

Please could we ask for you to also fill in their reading records so we know how they got on with the book at home? Please ensure your child's reading book/folder is returned to school every Wednesday. We will then swap it and return the folder back on the Friday. 

Dojo

Please connect to class dojo. If you have misplaced your letter please let your class teacher know. 

Uniform 

Your child may wear the summer uniform up until October half term. If the weather is hot, we ask you to provide your child with a Mount Carmel sun hat and put any sun cream on before coming to school (we do not allow sun cream to come into school).

After half term, we ask children to come to school in full winter uniform. There is more information under 'uniforms' on our webpage. Please ensure you send your child into school with a plastic water bottle (no glass ones please) filled with fresh water each day.
