Next Week

Maths - finding the difference between two numbers by counting on or subtracting. Using the greater than and less than > and < symbols. 

Grammar - how to use speech marks correctly in a dialogue between two characters. 

DT - we will be designing our own lighthouses next week and making them on January 29th. Please talk to your child about any materials/resources they might like to bring in. 

Geography - we're looking at the continents and oceans of the world.

Homework

- Reading books from school every night and write comments in the Reading Record Book.

- Bug club - read book and complete all comprehension questions before moving on. 

-Spellings - practice and learn for weekly spelling test on a Friday 

- RE - Please read the Wednesday Word together as a family. 

- Other - there will be occasional Maths/Literacy written homework so please check the website weekly for this. 

 

Reading

Please try to read with your child daily. The children will read with Mrs. Bird once a week and with their teacher as part of Guided Reading. Reading folders along with the yellow Record Books must be brought into school everyday.
