Debating Club runs on Friday afternoon, for children in Year 5 and 6. We debate topics such as “teachers should be replaced by all-knowing robots”, “children should be paid £5 a day for coming to school” and “Workers should refuse to go to their jobs unless they are part of a Fairtrade organisation.”

The children decide themselves which side of the argument they would like to take, write down their ideas in groups, and take turns to debate their ideas with each other.
