I have come so that they may have life and have it to the full - John 10:10

School Council (2024/25)

What is a School Council?

A school council is a formal group of pupils chosen to represent their class peers in discussions with school teachers and staff members. Its primary purpose is to provide pupils with a platform for expressing their views and concerns, thereby influencing school policies, decision-making, and overall school life.

The roles and responsibility of a School Council member?

As a School Council member, you will:

  • attend weekly meetings with other School Council members.

  • take ideas and suggestions from your class to discuss at School Council meetings.

  • bring back ideas, information and suggestions to your class and encourage your class to listen, discuss, share their views and, where necessary, vote on actions that need to be taken.

  • help to organise charity events throughout the year.

  • encourage the pupils in your class to be aware of their school environment and to respect and care for it.

This year, the School Council is led by Miss George.
