School Council (2025/26)
What is a School Council?
A school council is a formal group of pupils chosen to represent their class peers in discussions with school teachers and staff members. Its primary purpose is to provide pupils with a platform for expressing their views and concerns, thereby influencing school policies, decision-making, and overall school life.
The roles and responsibility of a School Council member?
As a School Council member, you will:
attend weekly meetings with other School Council members.
take ideas and suggestions from your class to discuss at School Council meetings.
bring back ideas, information and suggestions to your class and encourage your class to listen, discuss, share their views and, where necessary, vote on actions that need to be taken.
help to organise charity events throughout the year.
encourage the pupils in your class to be aware of their school environment and to respect and care for it.
This year, the School Council is led by Miss Roberts.
